The Advanced Technology Development Center (ATDC) provides business incubation and acceleration services to Georgia technology entrepreneurs to help them launch and build successful companies. Membership is open to all technology startup companies in Georgia, from those at the earliest conception stage to revenue-generating, venture-fundable companies. A sample of the services offered by ATDC include: Brown Bags, CapVenture, SBIR Grant Assistance, Startup Catalyst Office Hours, and Venture Atlanta Early Stage Showcase. Atlanta Technology Angels

A member of Angel Capital Association, Atlanta Technology Angels (ATA) is a group of accredited investors who support startup and early stage, high-growth businesses in Georgia. In addition to providing funding, the ATA provides connections, knowledge, mentoring, and operational assistance to members. Through the investment of time and capital, the members of ATA collaborate with each other on mentoring, deal screening, and due diligence, but ultimately make individual decisions regarding potential investments.

Flashpoint

Created to foster entrepreneurship and innovation, Flashpoint is a startup accelerator program originated by Georgia Tech. Flashpoint provides entrepreneurial education, access to experienced mentors, experts, and investors, presentations by veterans, shared-learning, and an open workspace. Teams of at least two can apply for classes and each cohort lasts approximately three months. Though Flashpoint does not directly fund the startups that participate in its program, the Flashpoint Investment Fund (FIF) was developed as a vehicle to fund Flashpoint teams.

Gwinnett Innovation Park

Gwinnett Innovation Park, a privately funded facility sponsored by Intelligent Systems Corporation, offers companies an environment with office and manufacturing space, telecommunication and network infrastructures, business advice and planning, a network of professional services, “just-in-time advice,” and financial capital. More specifically, Gwinnett Innovation Park allows entrepreneurs to lease an “instant office” for 1 to 30 employees, utilize conference rooms and shared resources, access potential financial partners, and more. StartupLounge

An Atlanta-based non-profit organization, StartupLounge’s mission is to support the investment process in the development of emerging high-growth companies in Georgia and the Southeast. To support its goal of connecting local angel investors and venture capitalists with entrepreneurs, StartupLounge makes resources, tips, and podcasts available to its members. Some of StartupLounge’s sponsored activities include: CapitalLounge, a thrice annual event that brings investors and early-stage entrepreneurs together; the StartupLounge Podcast, recorded podcasts with Scott Burkett, Michael Blake, and various influential personalities in the entrepreneurial community; PitchCamp, a monthly seminar teaching entrepreneurs how to effectively converse with investors; and AngelLounge, currently the largest organized angel investing group in the Southeast.

Startup Riot

Startup Riot offers affordable, curated events for the startup community through its Startup Riot MAKE and SHOW events, both with Atlanta locations. The Startup Riot MAKE event is a 48-hour experience where teams of developers and designers build something both original and innovative. The winners are then given the opportunity to present their project onstage at the Startup Riot
SHOW. The Startup Riot SHOW is an all-day event highlighting 25 startups, each of which gives a three-minute, four-slide presentation and then answers questions from a judging panel for three minutes. Although any can apply to present, only a select 25 are chosen, primarily internet and software oriented startups.

The Technology Association of Georgia (TAG) educates, promotes, and unites Georgia’s technology community to foster an innovative and connected marketplace that stimulates and enhances a tech-based economy. While helping members connect with companies that use their services, TAG also brings the technology community together through events, initiative programs, and networking opportunities. Some of these opportunities include CapVenture, TAG Entrepreneurs Society, the Business Launch Competition, Venture Atlanta, and Georgia’s Top 40 Innovative Technology Companies Award.

Venture Atlanta, Georgia’s technology innovation event, provides the opportunity for Georgia’s top technology innovators to meet the country’s top-tier investors. As the state’s largest investor showcase, Venture Atlanta connects Georgia’s entrepreneurs with venture capitalists, bankers, angel investors, and others who can assist them with raising the capital they need to grow their businesses. The annual non-profit event is a collaboration of three Georgia business organizations: Atlanta CEO Council, Metro Atlanta Chamber, and the Technology Association of Georgia (TAG).
